Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand: In a captivating display of devotion and cultural reverence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on an enchanting journey through the picturesque landscapes of Uttarakhand, steeped in spirituality and rich tradition.

Donned in a resplendent traditional attire, PM Modi’s daylong visit to the majestic Pithoragarh district became a saga of sacred experiences, showcasing a deep connection with the spiritual heritage of India.

The journey commenced with the Prime Minister’s breathtaking encounter with the Adi Kailash peak, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The visuals of him meditating with folded hands before this sacred monolith left an indelible mark on the nation’s collective consciousness.

“I am overwhelmed with the darshan and worship at the holy Parvati Kund of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. I am also happy to catch a glimpse of Adi Kailash from here. From this place of spirituality and culture nestled in the lap of nature, I wished a happy life for all family members,” PM Modi expressed, sharing his heartfelt connection with the divine.

The enchantment continued as he performed aarti at the Shiva Parvati temple along the serene banks of Parvati Kund in Jolingkong. The image of the Prime Minister, deep in devotion, added a touch of the surreal to the entire experience.

Ushering in the essence of Uttarakhand’s rich cultural tapestry, PM Modi then interacted with the locals in the picturesque Gunji village, which served as a testament to his commitment to the people. An exhibition showcasing local artifacts offered an insight into the region’s heritage, creating a bridge between tradition and modernity.

The journey’s spiritual crescendo will be found at Jageshwar Dham, an ancient Shiva temple steeped in history and legend, just 15 km from Gunji. Here, PM Modi will offer his prayers, marking another soul-stirring moment in a day filled with spiritual immersion.

But the visit wasn’t just about devotion and tradition. It was a holistic experience, where spirituality met development. Later in the day, the Prime Minister is set to return to Pithoragarh, where he will lay the foundation stone for several developmental projects worth ₹4,200 crore, underscoring his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of the region.
