Mixed Response to Sidharth Malhotra’s “Yodha” as Reviews Pour In

The much-anticipated Bollywood film “Yodha,” featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, Disha Patani, Ronit Roy, and Tanuj Virwani in lead roles, has opened to a mixed response from audiences and critics alike. Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the movie is a collaborative effort between Amazon MGM Studios, Dharma Productions, and Mentor Disciple Entertainment.

Released on March 15, “Yodha” has generated a flurry of reactions from moviegoers, ranging from glowing praise to disappointment.

Positive Reviews:

Several viewers lauded the film’s action scenes, suspenseful plot, and stellar performances, particularly by lead actor Sidharth Malhotra. One user described the movie as “outstanding” and praised Malhotra’s acting prowess. Another hailed “Yodha” as one of the top patriotic films of recent times, drawing comparisons to Malhotra’s previous acclaimed performance in “Shershaah.” Additionally, many commended the film for its captivating interval block, suspense, climax, and unexpected twists, highlighting Malhotra’s terrific performance and brilliant direction.

Critical Feedback:

However, not all viewers were equally impressed. Some labeled the movie as average, citing it as a typical Bollywood film with nothing exceptional to offer. Another reviewer expressed disappointment, deeming “Yodha” a bad choice due to its weak storyline and average acting. Particularly, one viewer criticized the film’s climax, suggesting that the resolution of conflicts by “becoming friends” did not resonate well within the context of the movie’s theme.

Box Office Performance:

Despite the mixed reviews, “Yodha” saw a decent booking nationwide. According to reports, the film secured ₹1.33 crore in bookings across 7,097 screens nationwide. Maharashtra led the bookings with ₹45.33 lakh, followed by Delhi with ₹30.46 lakh. Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat also reported significant bookings. Notably, the film was reportedly made with a budget of ₹55 crore.

As audiences continue to flock to theaters to experience “Yodha” firsthand, the film’s box office performance and audience reception will be closely monitored in the coming days.
