Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted a special parliamentary session, reflecting on India’s Parliament’s 75-year journey. PM Modi highlighted the paramount achievement as the growing trust of the people in the institution. He emphasized the significance of the Parliament House, which has witnessed India’s democratic journey, and its enduring public trust. The Prime Minister celebrated India’s accomplishments during these 75 years, from Chandrayaan-3’s success to India’s prowess in science, technology, and its population of 140 crore. He also noted the transition to a new Parliament building and India’s successful hosting of the G20 Summit.

PM Modi recalled the Parliament’s historic moments, including the Bangladesh Liberation movement and the dark days of the Emergency. He paid tribute to those who defended the Parliament during the terror attack. Leaders from various parties also shared their sentiments on the occasion, marking an emotional farewell to the old Parliament building. As India steps into a new parliamentary era, hope and confidence prevail.
