Lord Ram devotees of Solapur launched a unique initiative ‘Weaving thread for Lord Shri Ram’

New Delhi: Lord Rama’s consecration program will be organized in Ayodhya on 22 January. For this, major preparations are going on across the country. In Solapur district of Maharashtra also a unique initiative ‘Weaving threads for Lord Shri Ram’ from 8 am to 8 pm daily for Ram devotees from 5 January to 12 January 2024 from the concept of Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman Devasthanam and Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari Solapur Its going on.

The head of this program Shri. Ambadas Nakka ji said that under this initiative, every Ram devotee is getting the service and opportunity to weave two threads on a handloom. As soon as the woven cloth will be offered at the feet of Lord Shri Ram, many Ram devotees in Solapur are seen weaving this cloth with enthusiasm and devotion. To weave this garment, Solapurkar is seen gathering a huge crowd at Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman Devasthanam from 8 am in the morning.

Shri. Satyanarayan Gurram ji said that the Mangal Akshat Kalash from Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ramchandra, has been made available for the darshan of the devotees for the last fifteen days. A grand procession of Mangal Akshat Kalash was taken out in the temple premises. Just as we invite guests from door to door on auspicious occasions in our house, similarly Suvasini and Ram devotees wish them a joyous festival of Deepotsav on that day by applying Haldi Kunku along with Mangala Akshat, Lord Shri Ram Murti Pranapratishthapana Invitation Card with temple replica. Are invited to celebrate.

Pro. Ganesh Channa ji said that many Ram devotees of Solapur are seen weaving this cloth with enthusiasm and devotion and are saying that they too are getting the opportunity to serve and worship Lord Shri Ram.

Shri. Pandit Birajdar ji told that today at 6 pm on Sunday, Ram devotees have organized a program of worship of clothes woven on handloom at Panchmukhi Hanuman Devasthan.

Japan Earthquake: Toll Climbs to 57 as Rescuers Confront Aftershocks and Inclement Weather

The toll from a series of powerful earthquakes in Japan, including a magnitude 7.5 quake, has risen to 57, with most fatalities reported in Wajima and Suzu on the Noto Peninsula in the hard-hit Ishikawa prefecture, according to officials cited by NHK World. Over 20 people are seriously injured, and there are fears that many remain trapped under collapsed buildings.

The earthquakes struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa on Monday, causing building collapses and prompting tsunami warnings reaching as far as eastern Russia. The country’s meteorological office recorded a total of 155 earthquakes that day.

Rescue efforts faced challenges on Tuesday as aftershocks and poor weather hindered operations. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued a warning about heavy rainfall in Noto, cautioning against landslides until Wednesday evening.

A tragic setback occurred when an aircraft carrying emergency supplies caught fire after a runway collision at Haneda airport on Tuesday, resulting in the death of five coastguard crew members.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida emphasized the urgency of the situation, acknowledging the race against time to rescue those possibly trapped in collapsed structures. The government, led by Kishida, plans to convene an emergency task force meeting on Wednesday morning to address relief and rescue operations.

In Suzu, a coastal city severely affected by the earthquakes, Mayor Masuhiro Izumiya reported widespread devastation, stating that “almost no houses are standing.” Approximately 90% of the town’s houses are either completely or almost entirely destroyed, describing the situation as catastrophic.

Japan, accustomed to frequent earthquakes, faces the aftermath of this recent seismic activity, reminiscent of the devastating 9.0 magnitude quake in 2011, which triggered a tsunami resulting in around 18,500 casualties.”

Google $700 Million Payout: Windfall for Millions in Antitrust Settlement.

Google has agreed to pay a whopping $700 million and make some changes for around 102 million customers in the United States. This comes as part of a deal related to an antitrust case over fees that Google charged through its app store.

Here’s what you need to know:

The Payment: Google will pay $700 million. The majority, $630 million, will go into a fund to compensate US customers who were charged higher prices for digital transactions within apps downloaded from the Play Store.

Who Gets the Money: Around 71% of the people covered by the settlement, which is about 70 million customers, will receive at least $2. The amount might increase based on how much they spent on the Play Store between August 16, 2016, and September 30, 2023.

Additional Fund: Google will put an extra $70 million into a separate fund that the states will use to cover penalties and other costs.

Changes for Android Users: Google will make it easier for people to download and install Android apps from sources other than the Play Store for the next five years. It won’t give security warnings when users opt for alternatives.

Developer Choices: Google agreed to allow app developers to let users pay using a different payment system instead of Google’s.

Legal Perspective: Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser stated that they took legal action because using monopoly power to increase prices and limit consumer choice is illegal.

Google’s Response: Google seems positive about the settlement, aiming to move forward and highlighting their commitment to app store choice. The deal still needs approval from US District Judge James Donato.

Iran’s decision aligns with a growing trend, as other nations like Kenya, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam have already implemented visa waivers for international travelers.

Iran’s Visa-Free Offer:

Iran aims to enhance tourism arrivals by cancelling visa requirements for visitors from 33 countries, with India being a notable addition. The move is anticipated to make travel more accessible and appealing for tourists worldwide.

Global Trend of Visa-Free Travel:

  • Kenya

From January 1, 2023, Kenya will no longer require visas for international visitors, aiming to boost its crucial tourism sector. President William Ruto highlighted the significance, stating that no one from any part of the world needs to apply for a visa to visit Kenya.

  • Malaysia:

As of December 1, 2023, tourists from India and China can enter Malaysia without a visa and stay for up to 30 days. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the exemption’s subject to security screening, ensuring the safety of visitors.

  • Sri Lanka:

Sri Lanka has introduced a visa-free entry initiative for visitors from India and six other countries, including China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand. This initiative will be effective until March 31, 2024.

  • Thailand:

Thailand has initiated a 30-day visa-free entry for visitors from India and Taiwan starting November 1, 2023. The initiative is set to continue until May 10, 2024, making travel more convenient for tourists.

  • Vietnam:

Vietnam is contemplating visa-free entry for Indians and Chinese to boost tourism. Currently, citizens of certain European countries enjoy visa-free access, while others can obtain e-visas with a 90-day validity and multiple entry options.

Starting next year, Gemini Ultra version will also be supported on Google Board. With multi-model reasoning capabilities, Gemini Ultra promises to excel in understanding high-quality code in various coding languages, making it a valuable tool for comprehending, explaining, and generating new code.

Accessible Across 170+ Countries

Google plans to roll out Gemini Pro initially with text-based prompts, with multi-model support coming later. The new AI will be available in over 170 countries, expanding its accessibility. While English will be the initial language, support for additional languages is on the horizon.
